Switch to Green Energy

I recently just posted on Instagram about the devastating Australian bush fires. It’s easy for us feel helpless, especially if we’re the other side of the world, and although we can definitely donate to charities helping the affected people and wildlife, we should also be turning our attention to stopping this happening EVER again. Climate change is fuelling all sorts of natural disasters; wildfires in multiple other countries, drought, rising sea levels, pollution. We need to start making real changes in order to slow down the destruction we are making.

But it’s all very well me saying ‘make changes’, where do we start? An Instagram friend suggested one thing to start with: switch to clean energy. Instead of powering your homes with fossil fuels that are dramatically increasing climate change, green companies such as Octopus and Bulb source their energy from 100% renewables like wind and solar power.

For most people, your energy provider is a choice you make. You don’t have to stick with the same one the previous tenants had when you moved in. In fact, by using a referral code like the one below you can even make some money back by switching. One of the first things I did when we moved into our new flat was switch our energy provider to Octopus. So far they seem really on-the-ball and transparent with the way they do business.

Use this referral code to get an extra £50 worth of sweet clean green energy for nothing. >> https://share.octopus.energy/onyx-tapir-352 <<

Let me know if you end up switching!! Thanks for reading

Peace x
