The best travel camera equipment!

Alongside many other things, I’m also a professional photographer (would you believe it!) so if you’re interested, I’ve linked my favourite travel photo equipment below. I’ve owned so much camera equipment in the past and after carrying around a 1.5kg lens that I barely used in my backpack while travelling New Zealand, I’ve turned my focus to lightweight travel gear that still takes amazing shots!

Camera Body: Sony A7

Sony are on top of their game at the moment producing industry standard cameras that are half the size of DSLRs. I use the A7 which is full frame as it’s also great for bigger photography jobs I have but if you’re looking for something a little more compact for just travelling or amateur photography, the A5100 or A6000 are really powerful cameras too!

Lens: Samyang 35mm FE 2.8 (90g in weight!)

This lens is as light as air! I was super impressed with the quality considering the size and weight of it! One of the best purchases I’ve made!
Note: This particular lens is Sony fit but they do make other similar lenses to fit Canon, Nikon and more!

Joby Gorilla pod

I’ve never been a huge fan of annoying bulky tripods but this little thing is super lightweight, compact and can be attached to almost anything to get the same stabilisation  and height that a regular tripod gives you.

Go Pro Hero 5

Technically the Go Pro is Francis’ (my partner) but I use it when he lets me and I’m blown over every time how powerful this tiny thing is! If you don’t really need a camera for travelling but want something better than a phone, this is PERFECT. Also, I wouldn’t recommend buying fake ‘Go Pro’ cameras they are just no way near as good as the real thing!

All of the above products I use often while travelling and think they are some of the best equipment to take great travel shots! Please feel free to comment below if you would like to know more about these products!
